Car Accident on Pennsylvania Turnpike Kills 1, Injures 5

The fatal car accident occurred on Monday, July 20, 2015 on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The car wreck killed a 3-year old and injured three other children and two adults. The victims were transported to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital.

There is no word as to the cause of the accident but police have reported the the vehicle swerved across lanes then overturned and flipped over several times. The automobile accident shut down the northbound lanes of the Turnpike between the Lehigh Valley exit and the Mahoning Valley exit.
